Tick Tock...Tick Tock...

Well...not much to report about the going's on here. Nothing much is going on. Mostly we're just sitting around waiting on this baby to finish baking. While the rest of the country talks about "the most horrible winter ever" we here in Durango have been living in an eternal and dismal almost-spring! We've seen a little snow. Two or three times all "winter", and it's all melted off within 48 hours. It's so not-cold outside, that we don't always bring our coats with us!
Obviously there's not much going on around here if all we can find to talk about is the weather. Come back in fifty years, and we'll still be here, Tyler and I, talking about the weather...

Tyler gets up and goes to work every morning. I don't. It's divine. In trade for this, I stay home and have my body completely taken over by a little alien who apparently is practicing up for the Olympics. She is sure to win gold in gymnastics. I am HUGE and uncomfortable. I can't breath, I can't walk (I waddle...), and I have to listen to every person I know (and worse, the ones I don't!) tell me EXACTLY how this pregnancy/delivery/baby/parenthood WILL be. Funny thing is, every story is completely different, except for they all insist that their experience and/or their way is the ONLY possibility. I'm thinking I may have to be one of those rude people who makes her baby wear this:

If only to spare myself going crazy! Seriously, people are so rude.
In other news, I have decided I am going to be a seahorse in my next life.*

Mostly because the guys have to be pregnant. HA!

So basically, I am miserably giant, but don't have to go to work. Tyler goes to work and comes home filthy, but remains his normal size. --well, I think he's gotten more buff ;)-- seems a fair trade to me! But we are both SO IMPATIENT to evict get to hold this precious little girl!!
Baby shower is on Saturday, as well as taking some official "maternity pictures". I'll be sure to share them once I have them.

How's the weather where you are??

*No, I don't actually believe in other/next lives, etc. Hyperbole people.

It's not the best of pictures, but it's what I've got right now. This was taken at 34 weeks, (I'm in week 36 right now)

Testing...Testing...Testing One Two Three

Hey Howdy Hey,

So, with most of the family living farther away Tyler and I thought it would be a good idea to start up a blog (A La Steelesonwheels) to help keep everyone updated, and to give everyone a nice inside peek into the life of the most important person in the universe, Miss Dixie Marie Steele!

The idea is that there will be updates, pictures, and hopefully videos (if Mommy can figure out how to do that...) of Dixie Darlin', as well as our lives in general.

Presumably this will help with the "Harmony is really bad at communication (despite being able to talk a lot)" problem! I know I'm really bad at keeping up with people, remembering to send promised pictures, etc.,  etc. Especially now that there's an entire new extended family to keep up with (Steeles and Clarks I'm looking at you!) I figured I needed a platform to help out.

Obviously, I -Harmony- will be the primary voice you hear on this blog, but I'm hoping to coerce Tyler into doing some as well! Please keep in mind that I am not nearly as eloquent of a writer as my mother, and that unfortunately I type like I talk. Which means a lot, randomly jumping from topic to topic, and with a ton of run on sentences! Excepting my proper use of to/too/two and there/their/they're please leave your inner (or not so inner) grammar-nazi at the door! Please be patient with me as I attempt to figure out all the proper settings etc of this website. When I rule the world, things will be less unnecessarily complicated, I promise.

~Harmony~
